My mother was a patient for about five days. She has stage IV rectal cancer that metasticized to her lungs. I can't begin to tell you how appreciative I was to have Lori as my mom's nurse for at least two of the days. She was so caring of my mother's needs; she was able to answer questions that frankly doctors had not fully explained in a knowledgeable and layperson's terms. She helped figure out how best to make mom comfortable. And for me, when I was second-guessing healthcare choices and how to proceed, showed me such kndness and compassion.

Your nursing staff is excellent, but Lori is exceptional. She is an example of why your hospital gets rated highly--professionalism, compassion, resourcefulness (she was able to help figure out how best to accommodate my mom's physical limitations since she had no coccyx), caring for both patient and family, advocacy (for the best interests of the patient), and foremost, EXTRAORDINARY care.

My mom had many needs that many may have gotten frustrated attending to, but Lori ALWAYS was cheerful and made such a difficult situation so much more bearable. Thank you!
