Kristen Medley is an integral part of the care team for her patients. She represents the best interests of her patients during rounds and throughout the day. She was a key member of our Family-Centered Rounds Committee that restructured our inpatient rounding routine to include all nurses and therapy services in rounds at the bedside with the families of patients present. She stays late and arrives early to make sure her patients receive the care they deserve. She frequently has nursing students working with her and tries to ingrain in them the same love and compassion for all of her patients that she demonstrates. She is the best nurse that I know. Kristen is a vital aspect of patient care here on the Pediatrics floor and deserves recognition for all of her hard work.
