Kim always goes the extra mile for her patients and their family. She will stick around after her shift to check on her patient if they are not doing well to make sure they are getting better.
She is very caring and cares a lot.

Kim will stand up and fight for her patient and keep fighting if she feels that something should be done to help her patient.
She would be the one I would trust to take care of anyone in my family.

My sister Kim and I have been out in our community and people have come up to us and thank her for being so caring and taking such good care of their baby - she has received a blanket that someone made for her - for being nice to the baby and so attentive to all of them.
Nominated by – Lisa Kunkel —Kim’s Sister
As a charge nurse in the NICU on night shift, Kim is a great clinical resource to the staff. She actively participates in our Clinical Practice Council. She is supportive and helpful to her co-workers. She knows what is going on in the unit, where the needs are and provides excellent care to the patients and their families. Kim provides excellent communication to me as manager. Our NICU is fortunate to have Kim as a charge nurse. Congratulations Kim, you are very deserving of this award.
