Kim is an example of the kind of nurse whom every patient should have. She has a positive attitude; she even smiles during report in the morning! Everything is packed and ready for the patient to go to school. She anticipates when supplies are needed.She will wait for the bus with me and assist if needed.Kim shows her caring attitude to everyone: the patient, the family and her fellow nurses. She takes pride in her work. The patient always looks cute and her hair is combed.Kim has been with the patient for a while and has a good relationship with the family.Kim has good leadership skills and is currently in an RN program. Kim has been very reliable with the family.As far as trust goes, who better to judge than the child? When she hears Kim's voice she opens her eyes and gives a little smile.
In her communication with the other nurses, Kim tries to pass on what information is needed.Good communication ensures better care for the patient.I have seen Kim work hard to problem solve for the case.She had some better ideas that helped the family with ordering medications. I feel that this young woman is a fine example of nursing! I am proud to be her colleague!
