When my 7 year old daughter was admitted it was for severe nausea/vomiting and diarrhea. I think it was Thursday night my daughter had a nurse name Kelly. She was amazing!

My daughter had her IV disconnected to see if she could keep some liquid down. Well, she ended up getting sick and, while she was in the bathroom (still getting sick), Kelly came in the room, saw that she was sick, and said she would get her some meds. Before she could leave, my daughter asked her something and instead of answering quickly and walking away she came in to the bathroom doorway and came down eye level with my daughter to answer her. She sat there next to the toilet talking to my daughter, calming her down with stories of her dogs and her kids.

I know to her it was just another day at work, but to me she went above and beyond. I don't know too many people who would sit right next to a toilet a child is on while throwing up just to make them feel a little better. It meant a lot to me to have such a sweet person caring for a child that means everything to me.
