I recently spent 10 days at MHCS, many of them in the CCU. At my age and condition, I am told it is rare to recover from a combination of sepsis and pneumonia. I am confident my recovery is the result of the highly skilled CCU medical/nursing staff and a lot of prayer.
I left your facility with no doubt in my mind that God had placed angels on this earth and…to my good fortune… a number of them work as nurses in your CCU Unit. All the nurses were fabulous (a special mention to Courtney and Linda), but I must take time to point out that the reason for this letter is to commend Kelli Wright, RN who made my survival her personal mission.
I am thoroughly convinced that one could search this world over and not find a better trained, more competent, compassionate group of nurses than the ones I encountered in the CCU. I, in particular, and the city of Chattanooga are blessed that these angels have chosen to reside here.
Please extend my sincere appreciation to everyone on the CCU Unit and most especially to Kelli Wright, RN.

I nominate Kelli Wright for the DAISY Award. Kelli came on shift to find a rapidly deteriorating patient (see above letter) who needed life saving measures quickly. Kelli’s resilience, despite multiple obstacles, resulted in saving this man’s kidneys and possibly his life. Kelli has an intuitive gut, great instinct, and is a true patient advocate. Although she is relatively new to the CCU, she displays supreme confidence, poise, a very positive attitude, and always has a smile. I believe strongly that Kelli deserves the DAISY Award for her great efforts and the care she gives to all of her patients.
