Kathy exhibits the characteristic of servanthood with her patients. Kathy frequently goes out of her way to make sure they have transportation to appointments, food, supplies, etc. Kathy is a great leader on the team and works to encourage other team members to be their best. An example of her dedication was when we had a difficult, complex patient who was struggling to stay in her home. Kathy went out there on her own time to change linens when she needed it and had no one. Kathy rallied the team to make sure they did visits around times when she needed to get to appointments. They would make sure she was dressed, fed, and had transportation so she could get catheter care at the urologist.
Another example was a patient who had horrible living conditions and was on the verge of being evicted due to dirty home and not paying rent. Kathy helped patient clean up the apartment and even unclogged her sink. She referred her at IMM. She got her an MSW consult to assist with community resources.
Kathy works continuously for her patients and she treats them all with respect and is diligent in being able to help them stay in their home.
