It is no accident that Kacie Minter was chosen to serve on the Daisy committee and wears her Daisy pin proudly! As a new grad Kacie enthusiastically embraced everything about critical care, including the patient's families. It has been uplifting to see her mature clinically and not lose one bit of enthusiasm or caring.

Kacie found time, as she does with ALL of her patient's families, to care for them as well. They trusted her enough to ask her to ride with their loved one in the back of the ambulance to another facility for bypass surgery and she did. But as with most of her patients the caring did not stop there. Kacie has checked on the patient frequently and received accolades from the patient's family.

This particular patient and family story is not unique for Kacie. All of her patients may not be that "exciting", but each one of the patients and families that she cares for is special to her. She demonstrates that by checking on them after they transfer from the CCU, discharge home and she will continue to minister to the families.
