First Nomination:

My son was a very sick little baby upon arrival. Jyostna always made us feel he was in good hands. Her encouragement helped ease our fears. My son took such liking to her that he would look for her to come see him. It's wonderful to have such kind, knowledgable people giving your children such wonderful care. She even showed us how to administer his medication where we always had such a problem doing it before. There should be more people like her in this industry and world. Thank you.

Second Nomination:

I'm 23 years old, and when I was told that I was going to the pediatrics unit because regular recovery was full, I was hesitant. I'm too old to be here, right? However, as I would soon learn, the nurses in Pediactrics are fantastic. In particular, Jyostna was amazing. She was my attending nurse for two shifts and we made a strong personal connection. Whenever I needed to take pain medication, she was there within minutes of the prescribed time. I had a bleeding complication after my surgery, and she even shared her personal story of her own scare with the same uncommon condition (DIS). By the time I left pediatrics, we hugged and I truly felt like I was celebrating with her. Jyostna deserves a DAISY Award for her compassion and ability to create a personal connection with patients.
