I write you this morning to extend a heartfelt appreciation to Judi Pim. I had several excellent caregivers during my recent surgery and hospitalization, however, Judi was the one who set the bar high for excellence. What she did VERY WELL was:
Communicate in a compassionate manner,
Worked well with all other co-workers - even offered to jump in and assist with personal tasks so the PCA could attend to another need,
Made me feel like I was her top priority and that she enjoyed caring for me - NEVER did she make me feel like I was a burden or an inconvenience,
Made me know that she was an expert in her field. The manner in which she communicated, educated and conveyed information gave me every assurance that she knew what she was talking about. This equated to a high level of trust in her ability,
Made me feel appreciated,
Cared for my family who were visiting or staying with me - which gave me peace as well.
I liked her so well that when I was told I needed to move rooms, I requested that I be moved to a place to where Judi could continue to be my nurse. I will truly never forget the kind, compassionate, expert care she provided me.
