A few nights ago, we had to start a Precedex drip on a patientand transfer the patient to another hospital for ICU care. John was at the bedside trying to calm the patient down who was going through DT's and was extremely agitated. John took the time to teach the nurse about Precedex, how to titrate the medication, and the pharmacodynamics of the medication. John always goes above and beyondin his NP role. We are extremely grateful for everything he does.

I would like to recognize John for helping the nursing staff out with a very critical patient. The House Supervisor called a rapid response on a post-operative patient and John jumped right in to help out. He was instrumental in stabilizing this patient, talking with the surgeon, getting orders and hanging critical drips, and helped with transporting the patient to CT twice. We couldn't have done it without his help. On John's regular shifts, he is veryattentive to his patient on admission, quick to respond to nursing calls andpages, and communicateswell with the whole staff his plan of care. We truly appreciate having him here at Goldfieldand very grateful for hisexpertise, positive attitude, and willingness toeducate when needed.
