Jocelyn is a key person in Preventative Cardiology. She maintains a positive attitude, always looking to the solution rather than dwelling on the problem. She is intuitive and has a sincere, kind manner of addressing sensitive issues.

Jocelyn's Unit Director overheard Jocelyn talking with a patient's wife who was concerned about her husband's short term memory. This man's wife was worn out from trying to take care of him. Jocelyn took this opportunity to gently talk about the possibility of an assisted living arrangement. The conversation held so much compassion and understanding on Jocelyn's part that the patient's wife agreed and thanked Jocelyn for her insight.

Another time, Jocelyn was talking with a patient who had diabetes and was reluctant to check blood sugars. Jocelyn took hold of this opportunity and before the conversation was over, the patient was going to let us check his sugars and was even planning to buy a glucometer.

Jocelyn is a true advocate for the patient, always striving to get the best outcome. She readily takes on those hard conversations with empathy, professionalism, and tact. She is a great team player. Her coworkers love working with her. Her clinical skills are strong, and she will do whatever to get the job done.
