Our son was rushed to the NICU right after he was born at 34 weeks. That is where we met Jessica Frasch. She was personable, compassionate, and soothing to us and our boy. She communicated our son's condition to us in an informative way that was considerate of how overwhelming the situation was to us. It soon became apparent to us that the care of our baby was way more than just a job to her. Jessica cared for our son as if he was her own. Through the roughest points of our son's first days of life, Jessica was vigilant and nurturing.
After a few days, our son began to show significant improvements and Jessica was moved to another baby that was in dire need of her extraordinary care. This is when we realized just how special Jessica is. Her next patient, her next baby, and she treated it like it was her own as well. Our son wasn't a special case to her. She treats every baby she handles like it's her own. We witnessed this serval times over the next few weeks as our son steadily improved. And even though our son was no longer her duty, she would periodically stop and check on him, as well as on us. Being a nurse is more than a job for this lady, it is a calling.
