Leader, always helpful, compassionate, caring & encouraging, mentor, always is willing to take patients assignments/charge, nurse and patient advocate, very approachable, wonderful educator, empathetic, loving, empowering, interpersonal skills, shows a great amount of respect towards everyone.

Jenn is not only an exceptional clinician, mentor and educator but a true example of what a nurse should be. It was a 12 hour day shift and we were shorthanded to begin with, but thanks to our awesome teamwork on the SICU/MICU and Jenn in charge we knew we would stay afloat. Suddenly there were 2 condition A's on the floors and Jenn responded to both by herself because the ICU nurses couldn't leave the pods due to our sick patients and CVICU did not hear the pager. Jenn was quick, smart and calm mannered during the transport of these codes both into the SICU right next to each other, one of which was more intense than the other.

Jenn, while in charge, stepped up and took initiative to care for this 1:1 patient who required a STAT trip to CT and multiple orders to be carried out. This patient had a loving wife in the waiting room and Jenn took the time to comfort and address her and the patient's need to see one another during his critical state. Jenn did not eat, use the bathroom or sit for hours while diligently working on this patient racing the clock to save his life. Despite all efforts the patient passed calm, painless and with his wife at his bedside holding his hand crying. Jenn then began to sob and console the wife because she too had cared for this patient.

Jenn is truly a compassionate person who deserves this DAISY for everything she does and the people and lives she touches every day! She's the finest example of a nurse I have had the pleasure of knowing.
