Nomination 1
Jeff consistently provided extraordinary care for us during our stay. We were sad he had to go during shift changes and days off. He was an amazing health care provider and thoroughly educated us on upcoming tests, procedures, and other nursing changes and agendas. At times when he was slow he would come in and play with our 14 month old son who just adored him. Our son would run up to Jeff and hug his leg, blow him kisses, and give him “high-fives” when he came in or left. If we had any questions or concerns regarding other team members like ortho’s or MD’s, Jeff would quickly contact them and give us a timely response. We very much loved our stay here but above all, loved the compassionately positive quality of care Jeff provided to us.

Nomination 2
My 2 ½ year old is in the Neurosciences Unit after suffering multiple seizures yesterday. Jeff instantly put my son at ease and has fully explained every procedure in a way he can understand. Before adjusting and flushing his IV he went through the trouble of giving his favorite stuffed animal an IV first. He showed him exactly what he was going to do. When it was my son’s turn he was not scared at all. He even let my son “flush” Max’s (the stuffed animal) IV. Jeff has been very attentive to my son, my husband, and me. We have been very blessed to have him for our son’s nurse. You are very lucky to have Jeff on your staff.

Nomination 3
Jeff took the time to get to know my son so he could give him the best care possible. He built a rapport with him, keeping him calm and comfortable during his stay. He was caring and knowledgeable and he was always willing to take time to reassure us and answer any questions about our son’s care plan. I did not doubt that Jeff truly cared about my son, and wanted to make sure he received the best care possible. Jeff was a wonderful advocate for my son, and if we ever have to come back I hope Jeff will be his nurse.

Nomination 4
Jeff displayed exceptional patience, taking the time to administer medicine as slowly as necessary in order to ensure maximum comfort for my little grandson. He also was willing to patiently answer all of our questions, and to show empathy toward the baby and towards us. In sum, Jeff was both efficient and very kind.

Nomination 5
Jeff built a rapport with my son and me. He took great care and through his high skill level tended to my son without making him cry. Everyone else seemed to try their best but only Jeff built the connection with him. He was also his advocate when he was feeling bad. He helped get our son feeling better faster. We really appreciate the care and attention to detail Jeff provided.
