Felicity is always aware of the needs of the research team. When the team arrives she is ready to review protocols if needed and to assist the team or the patient whenever requested. She looks for opportunities to assist. Caring and compassion are two words that well describe Felicity. Over time she has consistently demonstrated an acute level of caring and concern for her patients that could be described as “fussing over” each one. She attends to all of their needs, even anticipating what might make a patient more comfortable and offering that measure of comfort before they ask. Felicity is thorough in all aspects of assistance in the running of research studies, from making sure that the room is properly set up to assuring that all necessary equipment is there and ready. She is proactive in her communication with the team, making the time to interface with the research coordinator directly and in a timely manner. The DAISY Award is an honor befitting her efforts and offers recognition for the quality of her work and the compassion of character she offers to others on a daily basis.
