Eva more than exemplifies the art and science of nursing through compassionate care for patients, families, and co-workers. I had the pleasure of working with Eva this past week as a fellow RN. She was the on-call Ostomy nurse and we have had an increase in Peds patients with new ostomies. This is usually a stressful time for families. Eva came to help me teach a family about their new ostomy. She was wonderful. All the fear and anxiety they had went away when she was done and I felt like an expert. She was kind and compassionate. Eva even had the young patient helping towards the end of his admission. She advocated for the family and ordered all of the supplies they would need. She made them feel like it was all manageable. She demonstrates in her daily practice the Mission and Core Values of Providence with her smile.

Eva was an eager participant of interdisciplinary teamwork and advocated for the right care, at the right time for all of our patients. She used best practices to ensure the best care for the family and patient. She mentored me and educated the floor nurses using a positive supportive approach so we could provide the best care possible to our patients. Thank you Eva!
