Erin came to our unit late one evening to place a PICC line - she was already being held over late but was kind, positive and still had a smile on her face. Our unit was very busy that night and after placing the PICC line I noticed Erin answering several call lights. Erin provided these patients with what she could and then notified their primary nurses accordingly. Erin did everthing from refilling patient's water pitchers and ice packs to assisting them to the restroom, repositioning them in bed and getting warm blankets. Erin completed each and every task with a smile on her face. She spoke to each patient with kindness and assured them their needs would be taken care of. I overheard her "managing up" several times and assuring the patients they were going to receive great care during the night. For Erin's focus and dedication to our patient's needs and for a great attitude and clear willingness to be a team player, I nominate her for the DAISY Award. Erin truly went above and beyond and had an immense positive impact on the patients, the staff and the unit overall. We value and appreciate the time and skill Erin shared with us! Thanks Erin!
