My mom had Emily as her daytime nurse for several days right after her mastectomy and reconstruction. Emily treated my mom with respect and kindness and friendliness. We had many nurses, but Emily put everyone, even my dad, at ease. She had a ready smile and a demeanor that said she cared. She genuinely cared about us and listened too. In addition to the major surgery, my mom received news that the cancer had spread. Emily listened and talked with us. She never made us feel she was in a hurry, but instead we felt she had all the time in the world for us. My dad is not easily impressed and is very protective of my mom and he wanted Emily recognized. That says a lot!

Emily treated me with wonderful care after my surgery. She was very attentive to all my needs. I believe this sweet nurse deserves much praise. Always smiling and giving her best to the patient. Answering my questions and encouraging me through my difficult moments. I believe a kind, loving and compassionate nurse can help you recover more quickly and make your hospital stay a positive one. Thank you, Emily, for your wonderful care!

I could tell the first time Emily came into the room, that she was a special person. Some people are meant to do what they do and Emily was meant to be a nurse. She is such a caring person. Emily took her time with my wife by explaining every step and why they are doing it. She made my wife comfortable during this very stressful time, with her polite mannerism and contagious laugh. She is an excellent example of what a nurse should be. While I was writing this, my wife went for a walk with Emily. She was my wife's personal cheerleader. She was positive and encouraging in guiding her along the way.

No matter how silly my request, like another cup of ice chips, Emily always smiled and laughed along side of me. She was my angel during post op recovery. Thank you, Emily, my Angel!

Emily was the best nurse I have had throughout all my hospital stays. She was attentive to all my needs. Always asked if I needed anything and always asked if I had any questions she could answer. But not only did she attend to my medical needs she treated me like a human, just having normal conversations not revolving around my hospital stay. Emily always had a smile on her face.
