My daughter underwent breast surgery and this was a scary time for both of us. I could speak to all of the staff, but there was one that stood out more than anyone, that was the nurse who took care of my daughter after the surgery, Elvira Revilla. She made us feel she herself had experienced what we both were going through. We just felt that she truly connected. She practically stayed by her side, acting and reacting to her every need. She explained everything that had happened during the procedure, what was going on afterwards, and what they needed to do for her. She took the time to explain every single action she was taking, before she took it. And even said how each action may make my daughter feel and asked if she was ready before she proceeded. She made sure she was physically comfortable, checking her pain level often to make sure it was as minimal as she could safely make it.

Elvira was so dedicated that I wondered how she could remain so committed and give this level of dedicated service to us and to others at the same time, but she managed to move around to take care of all she needed to do. She held my daughter's hand and talked to her constantly about her needs. She was marvelous! She is the epitome of what I consider an excellent, compassionate, dedicated nurse - and person.
