Donna Sinderman, RN from PeriAnesthesia, was recognized as the December DAISY Award Winner by Chief Nursing Officer Sherry Kwater, MSM, BSN. Donna was nominated by her Nurse Manager, Christine Gelnett, MHA, BSN, RN who wrote:

"Donna is one of those Nurses patients and coworkers never forget. Trust me when I say Donna is the nurse you want taking care of you or your family when you are critical. She has a love for learning and her knowledge level is somewhere above the clouds. She has been known to compliment medical students and young residents when she sees them doing something well, and is great at giving guidance and feedback on things they could do better. Physicians trust her when she recommends something they could do to make a patient's experience better.

Patients love her! Many times, I have had patients request her because they experienced her expertise, kindness, and good humor during a previous visit to the Medical Center. She has the ability to calm a nervous pre-op patient as soon as she walks into the room. I have worked with Donna for eight years, and you can't help but have a better day when you have the privilege to work with her or be cared for by her."
