Dianne has dedicated her life to the service of others throughout her nursing career. She treats all of her patients and their families with compassion, care and patience. Dianne interacts naturally and positively; she has a great bedside manner. She is also a strong advocate for patients and families. She is never too busy to take extra time with patient and families.
Dianne is the "Queen" of untangling post-op heart lines! Recently, Dianne took care of a patient who was from out of town. The patient's fiancé was with him all the time. Dianne offered to wash her clothes for her. In addition, she found out that it was the fiancé's birthday and arranged for dietary to bring her a cake.
Dianne cared for a critically ill patient for many months. She requested the patient during her shifts and she called to check on the patient when she wasn't working. The patient survived and comes back to visit Dianne on the unit.
Dianne has created a sense of family in the ICU. She plans parties, she always remembers every co-worker's birthday. Dianne sends "have a great day" texts on holidays or special occasions. Finally, Dianne has insight into the human soul that is so quiet and unassuming. She has taught others that throughout the years. Dianne is a wealth of knowledge and is the heart of the ICU.
