Diana Weaselboy, RN was nominated by a member of our medical staff for her impressive dedication to patient care and extraordinary performance at the Dilkon Health Station. Dilkon is a satellite clinic located on the Navajo reservation, which is 45 miles from the nearest hospital.
Diana is the Infection Control / Employee Health nurse for WIHCC. In addition to her administrative duties, Diana provides comprehensive nursing care services in the clinical setting at WIHCC, Leupp and Dilkon field clinics as well as Urgent Care.

The nomination reads:

“I worked with Diana Weaselboy on Friday, 2/26/11 and 3/1/10, in Dilkon. On both days, were very busy, and Diana had absolutely no nursing support. She had to meet the demands of two providers on both days in an unfamiliar clinic. We had two transports into Winslow and one of those occurred near closing time.
Diana managed to keep the clinic running smoothly and never complained about the many tasks she had to complete or about having to stay late to wait for the ambulance. Then finally, as Diana was trying to clean up the clinic for the day, the mother of the second patient awaiting transport became short of breath and Diana had to do vitals on the mother as well as give the woman an albuterol treatment before the mother could follow her daughter to Winslow.”
