On April 30th I had an appointment to have a port put in at the Day Unit in North Fargo. I was lucky enough to have Deana as my nurse. From the time she introduced herself, Deana was very professional and caring. I could feel her kindness and compassion throughout all phases of my surgery. She patiently explained everything that would happen, calming me each step of the way. I had no idea what to expect and had heard both pros and cons about getting a port. She assured me I would be happy I had decided to go ahead with the port. When I came back from surgery she made me warm and comfortable. She went above and beyond in her care and I felt like I had the BEST. She made me feel as if I was more than just another patient. She made me feel that she genuinely cared about me. Deana was born to be nurse. The next day after surgery, I received a card in the mail letting me know she was thinking about me, hoping I was doing good and wishing me well. Not only is she beautiful on the outside but she is also beautiful on the inside. She has so much to give. I have no regrets about having the surgery. Thank you to a beautiful, wonderful nurse for making me feel so special.
