Everyday Cindy comes to work and is always ready to help in any + every way she can. It could be any kind of help that is needed, not just on the Nursing end. We had an elderly patient who lives 90 minutes away, came to have his preop and on the following day, he returned to us because he thought he forgot to tell us about his device. Cindy was in charge and I told her how he had been seen the previous day. Cindy called the patient in a room and pretended to know nothing of why he returned. She listened to him with such empathy and kindness. I was touched as I listened to him talk to Cindy. She is always this kind, great person and a great nurse.

I am so fortunate to have been able to work the past 8 or so years in the pre-op with such a great caring friend. Cindy has always given her all every day; the compassion she gives to everyone that enters the pre-op is so very much needed and appreciated by all. Cindy goes above and beyond every day for everyone that comes in to her life and we are so lucky to have her.

...

Cindy is respectful in that she always has a good morning and a good night for everyone in the department. She always has a heartfelt thank you to her colleagues for their efforts of the day especially when in charge. Cindy has a charming and caring way of interacting with colleagues and patients. When someone has a home/personal issue/dilemma, she is always there with a card and or flowers. She is especially caring in her interaction with patients particularly with the elderly patient. Cindy is a true team player. I have witnessed her on countless occasions coming to the "rescue" to assist a colleague with patient involved activities in the department and or to just really step up to the plate in any way to get the day done. Cindy has always gone above and beyond the call of duty in her commitment to excellence, never leaving a stone unturned. Cindy is just a pleasure to work with; it's ALWAYS a good day when she is in the department; definitely missed by all when not here!!

Cindy's overall attitude is someone who works hard supporting others (patients, visits, staff) Dedicated to ensuring unit runs smoothly, assignments are fair, and always takes on a assignment when patients are waiting long and staff not available. She JUMPS in wherever needed. No matter how busy we are I feel things will be OK-because she is driving the Ship and supporting her mates. I have seen her rescue a struggling team member-which propels us all to chip in and follow her lead. She is always's professional and instills calmness in our unit. Her confidence/knowledge minimizes patient anxiety and unit confusion, in other words she LEADS-and we follow suit.
