Christele is an exemplary employee who is reliable, caring, and compassionate and is very unselfish. She thinks of her patients and peers before thinking of herself. She is very proactive instead of reactive in her daily approach to patient care. She does not settle for anything less than exceptional patient care. Christele has taken on the role of charge nurse when she works; even though she has 6 patients of her own, she is well informed of all the issues with other nurses/patients on her floor. She addresses customer concerns timely and seeks guidance as needed to prevent escalation of issues. She has developed trustworthy relationships with her patients, peers and physicians.

She is receptive and supportive of all initiatives rolled out to improve patient safety/ quality and throughput process. She has been complimented by nursing supervisors numerous times on her performance as charge nurse, her excellent clinical and critical thinking skills and her performance in rapid responses and code blues.

Christele is an active member of the HALOS safety council at St. Mary's Medical Center. Involved in monthly meetings regarding safety within the healthcare environment and enforcement of rules and regulations throughout the hospital. Involvement within this committee has allowed improved safety measures to be implemented on the 3 north unit with a new security system (locked unit) that has increased the comfort and assurance of staff and patients on the unit.

During Leader rounding every month she is the most recognized by her peers night and day shift for her willingness to help others and her clinical expertise.
