...Charley works in the Sanford professional building in a department where there is so much need and so limited staff. In his field of work he is one of many special helpers that help make the difference in people's lives every day. He is in my opinion the most important member of the team that helps to care for my son. He is the glue that holds the team together. For those who have the pleasure of knowing him, they may describe Charley as the male nurse with the big smile on his face and they would be correct but he is more than that. You may ask ... what do I know of him? I know very little of his personal life but I do know from my personal experience, he is a dedicated employee who works over his share of long phone calls, early morning follow ups and works nonstop on what I'm sure is a never ending list of other patients needing his time too. He is the voice of others who may be struggling with daily tasks, needing a lending hand to help guide them to a solution.

Charley is a problem solver, a caregiver, the messenger and to those who need him... always there. I myself have been a very frustrated mom on the phone, struggling to make changes for my son who depends upon the mental health department for medications that help him every day, to be the best he can be. Charley is always available to his patients. He makes everyone he works with a priority, including the staff he works with too. He is always the first to take blame upon his self, when it would be so easy to point the finger. Helping me to see that he is committed to my son's care and the team he works with. He shows me this with every phone call, message and smile he sends my way, letting me know my son and my family as a whole, are in good hands. As we all know when one member of the family or the team is having a tough time, the family or team struggles as a whole. Charley is an exceptional example for others around him and to my family, of what it means to be giving of one's self. In his field of work, he is more valuable to others than he may think. Thank You Charley for ALL YOU DO!
