Charity had a patient in the ICU who was being discharged. The patient was crying and distraught because she was going to be discharged to a Rehab facility and had no family or friends to care for her dog who had already been at home alone for an extended time period while she was in the hospital. Charity stepped up and offered to go to the patient's home, pick up her dog and care for it until the patient could return home after her rehab stay was over. Charity has been caring for the patient's dog for a few weeks now and checking on the patient too. She just found out today that the patient passed away. She is now caring for the dog as her own. Two months out, "Cricket" is slowly adapting to her new home and is allowing her near family to pet her and feed her out of their hands.

Charity is a kind and compassionate nurse and she goes above and beyond for her patients and their families every day. She is selfless and a perfect example of Service is our Passion.
