... Brooke had her child in for an appointment and was off duty. She saw a patient in need and stepped right up. The patient had low blood sugar. She identified herself as a nurse and where she worked. She offered assistance to help this patient. She took his blood sugars every 15-30 minutes and kept reporting to the therapist. She spoke with the family members and helped make a decision to call EMS. She did not leave the patient.

She did not have to take her own time to care for this patient. She was attentive, caring, and professional. Thank you Brooke. You are amazing!

Brooke demonstrated her compassionate commitment to patients; regardless of where she is-if or not she is at work. Nurses are nurses ALL THE TIME-at church, in the mall, at the playground, and yes, even when taking her child for physical therapy services.
