Oneevening, our ED had a child with a fever experience seizures. Brittany calmed the terrified parents, and addressed the clinical needs of the child. Using her SAFE she learned the patient was allergic to red dye. This meant the patient could not receive the Motrin supply on site to relieve the fever, as it contained red dye. She promptly jumped in her car and drove to the nearest drug store to purchase dye-free Motrin to bring back to the child. The family was very grateful to her for this action to help their child. This is just one example of Brittany's extraordinary care that she gives every day. You will find her to be kind, responsive, dedicated, and connected in her daily patient care.
