... Our daughter was born, coming into this world 3 months and 1 week early, weighing just 1lb. 4oz. The first night we met Barb, I knew it would be an honor to have her as our primary evening nurse. Since that night we have been blessed to have Barb take care of our little girl most nights. Barb is a pure pleasure to be around. She always makes me smile, laugh and remain positive. She is one of the most real women I have ever come in contact with and this brings us a huge sense of security knowing that she is always honest and straightforward with all of our situations.

Barb can always make me laugh which is truly priceless during times like these. She has been more than just our daughter's nurse. She has supported me through all of my health issues and has been by my side for moral support. She always sees the positive in every situation. When I was discharged from the hospital weeks after I had delivered my daughter, it was very difficult to leave. In fact, I had planned and foreseen my future sleeping at the hospital each and every night. I had been so adjusted to being admitted to the hospital and found comfort in being down the hall from my daughter, that when it came time for discharge I wasn't ready to leave. It was the comfort I found in Barb that made the transition more comfortable for me. It was knowing that Barb was with my daughter that allowed me to go home each night and get the rest I needed to heal myself.

Our daughter is now two days shy of being 2 months old and I am proud to say I have never once felt the need to stay the night in my daughter's room because of the level of comfort Barb has brought to my life. There have been many evenings that we have stayed very late and I've contemplated staying over but after long comforting talks with Barb, I have felt comfortable leaving. This was truly a huge part of healing myself as I was very sick after delivery.

Thank you Barb for all of your love, support, smiles, jokes and laughter. You have made our journey so much more positive. I don't know what we would do without you. We love you Barb!
