My son is a Hypoplastic Left Heart patient who is eight years old. This week we were told some very upsetting news about his liver and the potential/impact of him qualifying for a heart transplant. I was extremely upset and Ann quickly came to the rescue to help me. She found a conference room for me to have privacy and to be able to call my husband. She also had the Chaplain to come and talk to me as well as one of the heart failure attending physicians to come talk to me, answer my questions, and to help calm me down. Ann also stayed after her shift to make sure I was okay. I truly appreciate all her help and support during a very upsetting time. Ann also kept checking on my son since I was too upset to go back into the room. Ann was a great support during this difficult time for me.
