Angie has a “special” relationship with all her patients, staff, MD’s. Everyone with rare exception loves Angie.

We had a patient Mr. M in SICU from November 2010 to December 2011; He was admitted to the hospital eleven times in that year, most of them in SICU. Mr. M. was the husband of a Winter Haven Hospital (WHH) employee. The other unit nurses adopted Mr. M. and his family as well; but Angie had a very close professional, caring, supportive connection with them. She cried with them during the bad times (and there were many) and cheered him on, using tough love to push him when it appeared he was on the road to recovery. She kept in touch with him on the rare occasions he was not hospitalized that year and would visit him and his family on rehab, Street 1 or 2, where ever he was. Mr. M. lost his long battle just prior to Christmas of 20aa. The family insisted that Angie not only sit with them at the funeral but also rode with them to the graveside service.

She provided Mr. M., his wife and children comfort during the difficult times, exceptional nursing care throughout his stay and showed true compassion throughout. Angie is the perfect example of an ICU Nurse, where machines and technology are sometimes overwhelming, who cares for the patient in every way (physically, emotionally and spiritually).
