Every nurse who receives The DAISY Award are very deserving of the recognition and knows what it takes to provide great patient care. The following comments of Amanda Staloch's peers certainly reflect those qualities:

Amanda has a positive attitude and demonstrates professionalism in the work environment.

She is never a negative person, always positive and always willing to help others find the positive around them.

Amanda's job performance exemplifies the mission, the vision and values Providence Health and Services.

Hands down the absolute best patient advocate I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.

Amanda really truly cares about her patients and strives to make them comfortable and happy.

Amanda is also an extremely good steward, always looking for ways to save against waste of money, supplies etc.

She is a colleague in good standing. Definitely in good standing, well known in the Providence Centralia community.

Collaborates with the health care team to meet patient's needs. Very much so, like I said before, her patient advocacy goes above and beyond.

Amanda establishes a special connection with patients and families through trust and emotional support.

Before Amanda left us at urology, she left me a stack of farewell cards to hand out as I seen patients, she loves every patient and wants to make them all feel welcome and happy and most of all healthy. She has built a great trust with her patients.

Amanda models good assessment skills and decision making capabilities. Yes, and she is all about what is best for the patient.

Amanda demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with peers and coworkers. Amanda became like a sister to me, working with her the past two years.

She is a wonderful team player and also a good problem solver.

She strives to improve clinical processes and outcomes through engagement in professional development and evidence based practice. Yes, if she sees that something could be done better and easier in a different way, then she will share those ideas in order to help improve workflows and patient care.

Amanda is a dedicated RN and person. She deserves recognition!
