In October we met with Dr. K and Amanda to discuss staging and the treatment plan for our daughter E. As you can imagine it was very overwhelming to us. I realized then that a family fighting cancer cannot just be focused on what they should be which is the patient. They unfortunately need to be even more focused on the endless details. The appointments, the insurance issues and the daily home medications etc. At that first appointment as we were trying to take it all in, Amanda said don't worry I'll be there to help along the way. That was an understatement to say the least. From that day on Amanda has gone so far above and beyond for our family. As I know she does for all of "her families".

She organized and coordinated all the endless details of E's care so we could focus on E. She dealt with our insurance and pharmacy issues so we could stay by E's side. Any question I had, and there were many, I emailed Amanda and it was taken care of that day. I was not at the appointment when Amanda told E she would be leaving the clinic to go up to the floor, but I certainly got the text in "ALL CAPS" from E about it. Luckily we breathed a sigh of relief that Amanda would be leaving right around the time that E was finishing her treatments.

I could go on and on about Amanda, but to sum it up, this fight would have been so much harder if we didn't have her fighting with us. She gave us the gift of letting us focus on E! I don't know what we would have done with out her.
