I hope this letter finds you all well. I'm writing to you all on behalf of my father who was under your care. He has sung your praises since he was admitted and wanted me to write this letter of appreciation and name a few members who personally made an impact on him and his care.
The RN/NA staff, thank you for your attention to care and helpful nature. He especially wanted to thank Trevor for putting him at ease and taking time to listen to his fears and worries and for giving him a clean shave to make him feel more like himself. Joan the night shift RN, my father said her care was superior and he appreciated. Others he praised were Allison, Wendy, Cruz, Davina, and Shawn who took their time to help provide care and listen, truly listen and recognize what care he needed.
My father is a very stubborn, hard-headed former police officer and sergeant of the US Airforce. He has always been the strong one in our home, so a devastating setback such as surgery and amputation can understandably cause anyone to have fear and worries of the "What if's?", but all of you were able to keep his spirits up, keep him at ease and treated him with respect like a normal human being, which to those not in the medical field seems ridiculous but as a paramedic, I've seen those who are treated as less than human and I personally want to say thank you! You all even reminded me why we do what we do!
I'm sure I'm forgetting a few names but my greatest amount of thanks. Because of how wonderful you all have been, my father has a positive mindset and hope to be able to share a father-daughter dance at my wedding this year. Thank you, so very much, for all that you do!
