Marcia Hendersen, RN NICU, Providence St. Vincent Medical Center Portland, Oregon

Whenever our staff refers to the prototype of a nurse with amazingly high clinical expertise, we say she is like a “Marcia Hendersen.” She is a brilliant bedside nurse and preceptor to many new grads and new employees. She is probably the most highly respected bedside nurse by both our physicians and our nurses in the NICU. She is also an amazing gourmet cook and our unit is often a recipient of her projects.
