DAISY Nurse Spotlights

Linda Sprout, RN

Advanced Care Unit, Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital

Parkersburg, West Virginia

Linda received three DAISY nominations

1. She is one of the most caring nurses I know. She treats each patient as if they are a member of her family. I’ve taken care of many patients on our floor who have been cared for by her and they always ask about her and speak of her with such kind words. She is all that a nurse should be.

2. I am a new employee to CCMH and must say she is one of the most pleasant individuals I have encountered. She is a wonderful team leader and member. During my orientation I had a woman who was actively dying of colon cancer. The patient’s 21 year old daughter was having a difficult time coping and she sat with the daughter, held her hand, and cried with her during work and off the clock. She truly cares about every individual she encounters be it patient, family, or coworker.

3. She is the definition of a great team leader. She leads by example and she never judges others. She always goes above and beyond to care for her patients. She always puts other’s needs first and she has a lot of respect from her co-workers.
