Hazel is an excellent and compassionate nurse who has shown these qualities on many occasions. Hazel always maintains a calm demeanor and keeps a good attitude even in the worst of situations. Being a team player, Hazel consistently performs above and beyond the call of duty.

On one occasion Hazel took care of a very critical patient and was put in the middle of two arguing intensivist who had different opinions regarding the care of that patient. Hazel took priority and cared for her patient to the best of her ability while foregoing her meal breaks for her entire shift.

On another occasion Hazel was taking care of a patient whose life was ending. Thinking of the grieving family, she had the keen sense to take a hand print of the young father, who had just passed away, as a memento. This treasure gave the family a wonderful remembrance of a young man who had left his family too soon. The family was extremely grateful to Hazel.
