Brian was nominated by a patient’s family, who noted his attentiveness and compassion. The family praised Brian for his professionalism, his ability to answer their questions, and the extra steps he took to ease their concerns – even going so far as to call the family at home to alert them when their loved one could be moved to a patient floor and then accompanying the patient and family upstairs after being admitted. “He is our hero,” they stated. “We believe you can’t teach someone compassion, so it is a God-given talent and gift.”
