Benerita has worked at the UW for over 30 years, where she has been a wonderful mentor as well as a leader in the Women’s Health Care Center.  Benerita is very quiet and efficient.  Each and every person she encounters every day is treated with fairness and respect.  She has a very calming effect on patients and coworkers alike and seems to be able to solve any problem.  She provides an extra level of care to her patients, taking the time to return phone calls to answer medical questions or to provide extra support for patients in difficult situations.  Many of her patients are pregnant, with lots of questions and anxieties regarding their pregnancy.  Benerita will start early, stay late or work through breaks to provide the level of care required for her patients.  She also does an excellent job of coordinating care between patient and physician.  Benerita deserves the DAISY Award to know how much she is appreciated!
