Supporting ITP Patients

There are two excellent organizations that support ITP patients and their families. The Platelet Disorder Support Association(www.pdsa.org), based in Bethesda, MD, and The ITP Support Association (www.itpsupport.org.uk) in England, are wonderful resources for information and networking. Both have annual conferences for ITP patients that attract the leaders in ITP treatment and research and several hundred ITP patients. These meetings provide patients with a very meaningful way to learn about their illness and how to live with it from medical professionals and from each other.
